Milestones

Seven years of measurable progress

2019

Foundation and Housing Intervention

Fresh Community Development was established in 2019 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on financial literacy, business education, housing stability, and homeownership access across Florida, Georgia, and Michigan. That year we prevented the foreclosure of an elderly homeowner in Florida by coordinating legal, financial, and construction support. This intervention reinforced our model: housing stability must include credit repair, financial restoration, and structured planning.

2020

Financial Education and Homeownership Growth

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we expanded financial literacy programs, real estate education workshops, and housing readiness support. Dr. Tori Brown released Acid Reflux: How to Stomach This Economy, a financial resilience guide focused on money management, entrepreneurship, and wealth building. Through structured workshops and implementation support, 47 individuals achieved homeownership despite economic instability.

2021

Homeownership Depot and Community Expansion

We launched the Homeownership Depot in Detroit, Michigan to formalize a housing readiness and homebuyer education pathway. Hundreds participated in workshops focused on credit positioning, financial planning, and affordable housing access. Dr. Tori Brown released The Color of Homeownership: Increasing Wealth in Black and Brown Communities, addressing the racial wealth gap. Materials were translated into Spanish to expand access. We also released Open for Business, a children's entrepreneurship book that led to the Creative Room app and music release.

2022 – 2023

Developing a Digital Infrastructure

Proudly, our nonprofit worked with technology partners to develop Pearl Belle while refining how artificial intelligence could be effectively integrated into our nonprofit. This work laid the foundation for our Financial Navigation System, expanding our approach beyond financial education to personalized financial navigation and measurable participant readiness.

2024

Credit Education and Structured Implementation

2025

Community to Cashflow and Real Estate Acquisition

Community to Cashflow was launched to help participants move from financial readiness to real estate acquisition and affordable housing opportunities. Fresh Community Development hosted two educational webinars that expanded access to real estate knowledge and housing resources. During this time, development of Pearl Belle began as an AI powered financial navigation platform designed to strengthen financial preparedness and housing qualification. Through Community to Cashflow, 11 participants purchased real estate and secured affordable housing opportunities.

2026

Community to Cashflow Network Expansion & Validation

Community to Cashflow evolved into the Community to Cashflow Network, expanding beyond financial education to connect participants with lenders, developers, housing professionals, educators, and community partners through a coordinated support ecosystem. During the Truist Foundation Fellowship through the Watson Institute, we introduced the Financial Forward Experience (FFX) Sessions while strengthening and validating the Survey Guided Planning System (SGPS). Together, these innovations created a more structured financial navigation framework to guide participants toward homeownership, entrepreneurship, career advancement, and long term financial stability.
